Eric Nichols is currently a Principal Applied Scientist at Zillow. He previously worked at Microsoft and Google on software for audio analysis and music production. He is an experienced researcher in machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Specialized knowledge includes deep learning, music generation, music cognition, audio analysis, time series, and quantitative finance. Side projects: music generation research, writing a monograph, quantitative trading. 

Eric studied music theory and cognition at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and has performed as piano accompanist and principal bassist in symphonies and at various musical theatre and opera productions.
